Searching for Crescent [Kalen}

Kalen smiled finally, he could do this, but, if Thorn got to Shadowclan, Crescent, or Star first, he would be in deep trouble. The cat stopped for a moment, and pressed himself against Star. It was there job, as the Kurai cats, not only to keep their enjoyment, but to keep dangers out of the way, it was kind of the underdog idea of those who were heroes but not heroes, in which Kalen enjoyed that idea. His fangs overloaded with joy as he yawned, giving a slight smile to the fact, as he made his way up the hill. He turned to Star again, "We best wait for the birds, then if they got information we can check it out" He stated, but he really didn't want to be going near Shadowclan territory, their activity was increasing, because of the heat, more herbs were needed and more food. Kalen didn't want to get mixed up with those who knew the marks on him.

The crow landed on the other side, to make sure he was hidden for the cat to not see him. Zepherd froze, this was Shadowclan territory, and the bird new very well, Kalen's past didn't sit very well with these cats. "Are you sure, that's her?" Of course the bird had seen Kalen talk about Star in private ever since he knew her past, and about how her sister looked so different compared to her, describing her over and over Zepherd had a pretty mental image.

Sora nodded, "Yes I'm positive Crescent isn't a very common name I don't think. And I heard them call her Crescentmoon. She has the same description that Star described to me. There is no doubt that, that is Star's sister. She's been adopted by Shadowclan. We better go tell them." Sora took off at high speed leaving the trees behind. This was good news and bad news. Would she even remember her sister or that she was born a rouge? She was young when her mother tried to kill her.

Star fallowed Kalen, thinking about the places she had looked. "I don't know why but I think she may be hiding in clan territory some where. I have checked almost every place loners and rouges can be round and she has been in neither of those places. Where else could she be but in a clan or hiding in their territory?" Sighing if what she thought was true could make things very hard. Just as Kalen mentioned the birds she looked up to see Sora flying quickly towards them. "I think Sora has seen something she seems to be flying faster than usually."

Sora landed in a bit of a skid and turned to face Star. "I think I found Crescent," was all she could get out she had to catch her breath.

Kalen nodded, obviously, just his luck that it would turn out this way. He rolled his eyes for a moment, if he could only have even more bad luck come to him, the black cat watched as Sora rode in the tell them the news. His eyes lit up at the name, why did it sound so familiar? Kalen shook his head, it was not a clan cat name so obviously, it wasn't like it was anyone he knew, besides Kalen hadn't payed much attention to anyone in the clan, since he was rejected as an omen. His strong belief in Starclan was still there too, he almost believed he was a messenger of the starry eyes cats, a angel sent from above rejected by clans, just because of who he was.

Zepherd stood for a moment. The crow shook his head with a heavy sigh, this could not end well not with Kalen. Not if he knew this she-cat from his apprentice days either, but the crow thought, if fate was fate, then let it be, before lifting to follow sora. Landing next to Kalen, and just stayed silent for Sora to explain.

Star's eyes widened, "You did? Where this is great news. I can't believe after so long I'll be with my sister again." The first hint of any gentleness in the she-cat showed in her eyes as they softened and shined with excitement.

Sora snapped her beak open and shut a few times thinking about how to tell Star this. "She's a member of Shadowclan I believe. She was with a group of their warriors before they separated I heard one of them say goodbye to her. They called her Crescentmoon. That isn't a normal warrior name so she has to be your sister."

Star's excitement fizzled, "Shadowclan your sure? This is just as I feared. How am I going to be able to talk to her?" Would crescent even recognize her? Turning to Kalen she saw surprise in his face. What was he surprised about? Had he met her in his wanderings once? Or maybe he was just surprised that Sora had finally found her.

The black cat looked away for a moment, Shadowclan, no kidding. Kalen thought for a moment, the derpy Foxpaw was the leader now, so he would be Foxstar. An unlikely Candide he never thought would reach that far. Yet, the kit had been so odd, when they grew up in the same generation, it was all the same. "Not so sure, if you asked Foxstar, and told him your situation, I'm sure he'd let you. But, we would have to wait until tomorrow, I think we should start heading back to the mansion. At least, we know she's alive." He stated, looking up at the sky. For once it had been morning, now it was almost over mid day, and the sun was starting to drift to the other side. The black cat with purple eyes turned and started walking up the hill. Wondering what plans had been held for him next.

The crow flapped his wings, "Kalen is right" He stated before hoping forward and floating above his master. When it came to his past Kalen would like to keep it with him, as well as leave it behind. He was a strange cat, a strange cat indeed.

Foxstar? He must be the leader but how does Kalen know the members of the clan. She had been in Shadowclan before but she never knew the cats names unless she heard them mentioned. She shook her head maybe he knew a couple shadowclan cats. Either way it would be more helpful to her in the long run. "Ok I haven't seen my sister in two years I think I can wait one more day. Lets do some hunting on the way back to the mansion. We can have a feast once we get there."

Sora flew back and picked up the rabbit she had killed earlier than flew back to them. "Yes I know Zepherd, and at least we know Crescent is safe. Shadowclan will keep her safe right Kalen?"

Kalen looked at Star for a moment, "From what Zepherd has told me, the leader Foxstar takes kindly to family, and it's almost as if he had a screw loose" He stated, of course a lie, but he would stop at nothing from shadowclan cats finding about where he was and that he was alive. It wasn't that he held anything against them, it was for the fact that, the last medicine cat lead them to believe he was a bad omen of misfortune, so when he "died" it was a relief. Kalen looked at the bird for a moment Zepherd gave a slight nod, as the black cat started back for the mansion with a flick of his tail.

The bird turned to Sora, flapping his wings until he twisted his tail feathers, Kalen was keeping a secret. Yet, he was telling Sora with his tail, that he would tell her when she was ready, it had to do with his past, rather then something current. The crow raised into the air to follow the black cat.

Sora looked down at Koran and glared at him she could tell he was hiding something. But what she didn't know. Looking back up to the crow he scent her a signal. Ruffling her feathers a little she decided to wait and give him a chance to tell her and Star the truth.

Star trotted along deep in though. As Kalen spoke she listened. "A screw loose huh? I wonder why they made him leader than. Crazy cats should be put with the elders in my opinion. But what does a loner like me know?" But if he was good to family that would be nice. Maybe he adopted Crescent into his family?
