Searching for Crescent [Kalen}

Star walked silently through what was once a twoleg farm. Now it was full of rouges and loners. She was hoping to find her sister here. It was the perfect place for her sister to call home if she was still alive. "Crescent are you in there?" She called out as she padded up to an old barn that was falling apart. She could smell several cats but she couldn't tell if any was her sister. It had been two years since she had seen her sister. And she wasn't sure if she would remember her scent or not. Pressing her body against the ground squeezed herself through the small entrance and looked around. It looked like there had been a fire in there long ago. But the twolegs must have gotten it out before it did much damage.

It was a ways away from the mansion, since star had slipped out yesterday Kalen was wondering where she had gone. He didn't bother to use his power on her, because he didn't want to waste the energy in the choice that he trusted her. The Yusu power not only let him see her past in one moment, but also if he concentrated could read her mind and movements. Kalen moved his snake like body through the hill, as he went downwards, Zepherd flew up beside him who had been scouting for star. "She's in the old horseplace, looking for someone" The crow stated. Kalen built up speed, then stomped on his pawpads when he got to the edge of the hill. It wasn't long before the pair made it to the horseplace, where Kalen hid himself looking at star, what was she doing here? The tom wondered to himself, as Zepherd made his way over the fence, obviously the she-cat would know who it was, but Kalen didn't want to disturb her if she was doing something important.

Sora soared across the sky. Looking for any danger when she spotted Kalen. She dove down and landed in front of him. "What are you doing here? Don't mess things up for Star she's looking for her sister has been for almost a year now." She pecked at the ground where Kalen stood but made sure not to actually peck him. Turning she looked at Kalen's Crow and looked at him through one eye.

Star searched the barn and only found strangers. Sighing she apologized to the cats that lived there and left. She looked to the sky and whistled softly than let out a hawk like call. Come on Sora lets get going." Star wanted to find her sister. But she had been looking for a year now. And she was beginning to think her sister may had died a long time ago. She was only three months old when Moon had tried to kill Crescent making her sister flee for her life.

Kalen stood back a bit as the hawk came down, telling him not to bother. His eyes drifted as he looked over at the beautiful she-cat. His expression wasn't exactly easy to read, but it wasn't exactly a happy expression either. The black tom flickered his purple eyes before turned back to the hawk. "I got worried, that's all, you can't blame a guy when the she-cat slips out in the middle of the night. Beside's, I know the kind of cat she is." Kalen stated flicking his tail as he started walking the other way around. Star didn't know that he had read her past, and he wasn't even sure if he ever would tell her. She might be mad, or not, Kalen wasn't exactly sure, but he had his own problems at hand at the moment, in which getting the Kurai group started. Kalen looked at the morning sun, it was hot today.

Zepherd clicked his beak when he spotted the hawk, the two of them didn't exactly had the greatest relationship, but because of both Star and Kalen, they had to deal with it. The crow took off for a moment and landed next to Kalen. "Kalen..." he asked simply. Knowing what had been on the tom's mind this entire time. Kalen had a problem, and it wasn't a good one either, with a very dangerous tom, a loner and he feared that he might target star first.

The breeze changed and she smelled Kalen. Her heart picked up. e must have tracked her all this way. Had he been worried about her? But she was no softie except when it came towards her sister. Star quickly started to run towards Kalen. "You fallowed me? Kalen why did you fallow me here? I would have come back once I was done searching this area," her voice came out in a hiss. She was falling in love with Kalen but she wouldn't have him spying on her. She looked to Sora and nodded.

Sora heard Star's call and was about to take to the sky when she saw her running towards them. "Now you've done it." As Star ran up to him she flew up and landed on Stars upper back. Lowering her beak she whispered in Star's ear. "Any sign of her Star?"

Star frowned and shook her head in reply to Sora. "No take to the sky again ok. I'll be along shortly."

Sora nodded and opened her wings and took off into the air.

Padding up to Kalen she sighed and brushed her muzzle against his. "I'm guessing you where worried about me? Next time if I'm not there when you wake up don't go looking for me. I'll return, I'll always return I promise."

Not exactly reassuring was it? Kalen wasn't more over knowing she could take care of herself, it was obvious she could. Kalen wasn't exactly in the position or right to know how these are'as were safe or not, which was why he had stayed around his mansion, and around shadowclan territory, even though he could have the entire shadowclan on him in a second. The tom nearly rolled his eyes, but he kept himself stature, as he looked at and she promised. He was being a bit over protective, but playing with fire, was a thing that was very dangerous. She didn't exactly have good chances, if a fire caught on. Kalen thought for a moment, as he looked up at the sky, the heat beating down on him. He looked at Zepherd for a moment. "Zepherd, scout the edges of the lake, if you see anything, you come to me first, understand. I want nothing of that man near my territory."

[/i] He thought to the crow, he stayed silent when it came to looking at star. As the crow lifted off and went towards the edges of the lake, the tom turned his body around and flicked his tail.

"I know you can take care of yourself, more or less, I was wondering if you were leaving, otherwise, I might as well been out on a walk all on my own." Kalen stated, his paws scraped against the ground as he jumped up the fence, and came over to the fields. His purple eyes flickering in the sunlight.

Star watched as both their birds flew off. Sora to look for a cat that may fit the description of her sister. And Zepherd to make sure there was no danger in the area. "Kalen I wouldn't leave what we have. But my sister was the world to me when I was a kit. And I refuse to believe that I will never find her. She has to be around here somewhere." Her sister was the one thing she was truly passionate about. As a kit her sister could bring out the best of her. Sighing she licked Kalen's ear. "But maybe Sora is right. She was three months old when she ran away. Maybe she is dead." Leaning against Kalen she closed her eyes and a few tears slid down her muzzle.

Sora dove down and grabbed a rabbit in her claws than flew up several feet and pecked it in the neck killing it. She than flew back to Star. "Here you need to eat. She's not in this area she wasn't in the barn or the old twoleg nest. And I haven't spotted a cat that looks like her."

Kalen stopped, he knew that, but it wasn't entirely what he was worried about. There had been up activity of this loner, and if he came anywhere near Star, or her sister for the matter, it would be trouble. As she came closer, the tom inched away, jumping onto a higher platform as he looked to see if he had a clear view of the lake. The clan territories were quiet, more quiet then usual. "It's a possibility your sister survived, I've known greater stories of kits surviving, from doing more then just running away, being forgotten, or thrown out. But, these times are dangerous, being out here alone isn't a good thing." He said out loud. As he watched the dot of Zepherd circle one area before moving onto the next, the two of them understood the situation, more then less, the safety of the cats was first.

Star felt hurt when he moved away from her. Had she hurt him with leaving this morning? Was he angry at her? When Sora dropped the rabbit she nodded her thanks. "Go help Zepherd scout for danger. And be nice to him for once." She watched Sora fly off towards Zepherd than turned her attention back to Kalen. She listened as he spoke. She really hopped he was right. "Why are you so nervous Kalen? These are good times, plenty of cats to play with, plenty of space and food. The clans have so much space they have no reason to bother us. Tell me what is really bothering you?"

Sora flew up to Zepherd she was several feet higher than him. She was a hawk and could see much farther and better than the crow.

Kalen stopped and looked at her, yeah, that was until the tom who sought destruction got involved wasn't it? Kalen had heard the rumors from Shadowclan territory, and that was what had got him worried. He thought about where he had gotten his current name, from his family. Then again Kalen smiled for a moment, maybe this time, he could push Thorn against the edge, maybe this time, he would be the player and the cat would the bait. Kalen jumped down. "Things are too quiet, and if we aren't careful, the clans are in danger as well. More or less I can't even go near Shadowclan without being ratted out." Kalen started. Maybe it was time to tell her who he was in the past, and why he had come here in the first place, but at the moment, he was more worried about finding this guys location.

Zepherd looked up at the hawk as he circled. An order from the master was to look for Thorn, not any other danger, so she was doing it wrong. The crow rolled his eyes, before ducking in lower to scout the tree's on Shadowclan territories edge. Before pulling up, he didn't a sign of the dark colored tom anywhere. Though, the crow was not quiet sure why he was so on edge, the time with Thorn had long passed.

Sora soared lower and flew next to the crow. "Ok I can tell you not just looking for danger. What is going on I deserve to know. And if you don't tell me I'll claw your eyes out with my claws." Hawks and crows had never gotten along. And it drove her crazy having to work with one every day.

Star glared at Kalen he wasn't telling her something. And if he couldn't trust her to tell the truth she wouldn't be hanging around for long. "Fine keep hiding your little secrets from me. I have work to do. Once you decide whether or not to tell me what's going on send Zepherd to me. In the mean time I have a sister to find." She would not let a tom turn her soft and make her an obedient little lap dog. Turning she started to walk away from the one cat she thought she could be happy with.

Kalen jumped down for a moment, he wasn't keeping a secret, he was waiting for her to ask him. He kept his head low, before speaking to her inside of her head. "Thorn, a dark colored tom with amber eyes, controls fire, he's bad news, and a tough guy stronger then anyone I have fought." Kalen said through her head, jumping down he crossed over the building for a quick moment. Perhaps, he was just a little bit paranoid, he tried to clear his head and took in a deep breath. "It's hot" He randomly commented.

Zepherd flapped his wings before he looked at the hawk. "Kalen is paranoid for some tom that killed his family in the past, though I don't see what he's so worried about Star is strong, plus she has you." He was a truthful bird. Maybe not enough for others to like him, but his modesty was even more so that way.

Star stopped and turned around. "Why didn't you way something before hand? I would have known not to wonder off alone. And if he's as bad as you say he than we need to find a way to stop him. I just hope he doesn't find my sister before I do." Star felt bad for blowing up on Kalen. She couldn't help it though when ever she went searching for her sister her emotions went on over drive. She took a step towards than halted on sure if he would move away from her again. "So we have to find him and kill him right?" The thought of killing a cat sent shiver up her spine of pure thrill. But if he was as dangerous as he said they would need more cats to help them.

Sora's eyes widened in shock. "Why has he kept this from Star and me? If he doesn't tell her eventually he's going to push her away. I just hope he see's that before it's to late."

Kalen looked at her for a moment, true, they had to kill him, but his paranoid fear of the past repeating itself was inside of him to the deepest consent. The black cat lowered his eyes, perhaps he was too worried, as he flicked his tail he came up to her flank for a quick moment. Thorn took the thrill in not only killing, but he found weak spots, he killed what was closest to his target, and then let them live with that burden for most of their life before taking the final kill. Kalen shivered at the memory, of the fire, how he forced him to watch as his last mate lay dying in front of him. Though, he would so enjoy the hard flesh against the claws as he ripped into the cats dark amber eyes. As he felt the heat scratch against him. "First we need to track him and find out what he's up to. He isn't stupid like other cats, more or less, he's a amplified you and me, with a emotion sucked out of him." Kalen stated, this was fun, hunt or be hunted wasn't it, it brought a slight chuckle on the inside of him. Perhaps, they should find her sister first though.

The crow shrugged, for his sake, he hoped that the stupid cat realized it. The Varg like these birds knew their code, and their cultures were different as birds. Zepherd himself had been a loner his entire life, being a crow, he was not a flocking bird in which his parents had taught him. The crow flapped his wings and flew above once more. "It beats me, call him paranoid if you wish, he was quiet attached to his last family" His beak clicked in bird tongue, as he payed attention to the few cats below.

Star saw a shiver run through Kalen and pressed against him. "I know your afraid but we can not let this cat torture you and play with you like a mouse. That's our job not his," she purred softly and licked his ear than jumped onto the rock and scanned the sky. Sora was with Zepherd and they seemed to be working together. "So we need to be smart, creative. We need to plan how where going to kill him. In the mean time while we plan we will look for my sister as well. If we have both Sora and Zepherd looking for Thorn and Crescent than we have a better chance of finding them both right?"

Sora was flying over Shadowclan now. She could see a white cat walking around. Soaring lower she landed on a branch high up in a tree above the cat. She was white with black bands around the tail and black stripes on the legs. She looked allot like the cat Star tole her about. Could this be Crescent? She was with a couple other cats all from Shadowclan. Just than she heard one of the cats call the with and black one Crescentmoon. That had to be her. Opening her wings she took back off into the sky. "I think I found Crescent," she chirped softly. She was excited and really hoped it was star's sister.
