Niko padded along in the shore of the lake. The water just brushing against his stomach. It felt good on the hot summer day. Or as the clans called it Green-leaf. It was already hot and the sun was barely up. You could tell it was going to be a scorcher that day. Niko figured he would stick near the lake to keep cool. TO bad he was to afraid of the water he would go for a swim. But no the deepest he let himself go in was up to his belly. Padding up the beach he didn't stop until the water was just washing over his paws. Lying down he rested his head on his paws and sighed. This was nice. The cool lake water slowly washing around him. The push and tug of the water, the sound of birds singing and the heat of the day eventually made him fall asleep.
