GLIMPSES OF A NEW LIFE
NAME:Acornstar
GENDER: Male
AGE: 46 moons
CLAN: Skyclan
RANK: Leader
ARE REFLECTED ALL AROUND YOU
SHORT DESCRIPTION Small, acorn-brown tom.
APPEARANCE: Acornstar is short legged and handsome with sleek, pure-brown fur that seems to glimmer in the sun. His thick muzzle is fantastic at smelling and he is easily one of the best hunters in the clan, identifying a mouse meters away. His eyes are misty-green with specks of gold, seeming to look right through you and guess all your deepest secrets. His fur is short but soft, kit-like almost, but does not do well with keeping him warm in the winter. He walks almost always with his head low to the ground, making him look dangerous and powerful. Also, His body is well built with giant muscles bulging to a bursting point.
ALWAYS THERE TO GUIDE YOU
LIKES Rainy days and new-leaf, which go perfectly together. He loves the drip-drip sound of the softening rain, and often goes out hunting through it. He is fascinated with the way the water feels on his tender skin, and could stand all day, just bathing in the rain. He also adores new-leaf, for three reasons. The first being that there are new kits to play with, and he will take any chance there is to play with kits. Second, because it brings rain, and we all know why he loves rain. and last but not least, he likes it because the weather is no to hot, and not to cold. His skin is super sensitive about temperature.
DISLIKES: He absolutely despises heat and sunny days. being sensitive to temperature, he can get sunburned easily. This irkes him so much, it drives him to peeling off his own skin and damaging himself, just to get the annoying burns off.
FEARS: He is frightened of tiny, tiny moving things, like beetles and ants, and will run up the nearest tree if he ever spots one. This is so partly because he maneuvers often with his head low, so the tiny things seem huge and alarming. The other part is because he just can't help imagining them crawling up his spine and feels jittery.
POWERS: Multilingual (main), shadow manipulation (sub)
PERSONALITY: Acornstar is one of those soft-spoken, tough cats. He barely talks to anyone, and it should be a huge honor if he actually says hi to them. He can be extremely ignorant and self-absorbed at times, but will not be like that for long. In spite of this, he is devoted and protective of his family and friends, and, most of all, his clan. He will only go into battle at the most dire of situations, and even then he makes sure every apprentice and warrior that is going is deemed fit by lining them up and checking them from head to toe with his medicine cat. His loyalty and devotion has saved the clan's life many times.
This stubborn tom also does not take strangers lightly, least of all kittypets. If he happens to come across a kittypet or another intruder, he is bound to rip them up to shreds before they have a chance to explain, unless the trespasser is not inside the border.
He also has quite a short fuse. The first time someone from another clan disagrees with him, he argues endlessly to get his way. This has also saved his life countless times.
I'VE FOUND THE BRIGHTNESS
FAMILY: His mother was a rogue, called Quail, and his father was a clan-cat, dubbed Swallowtiger. Quail was a small, plump she-cat, all black and unusual faint white marks over her back. His father was muscular and brown, just like him, but dark, dark brown eyes. His sister, Puddledrop, is a white she-cat with a black mark in between her eyes, shaped like a raindrop.
HISTORY: Quail fell in love with Swallowtiger, forcing him to break the warrior code. She revealed herself in front of all SkyClan and begged to join so she could be with Swallowtiger. They had many happy months together, in spite of mistrusting cats and hostile remarks, and Quail gave birth to a small family of two, Puddlekit and Acornkit. Soon after, she decided she was fed up with her husband and her warrior life, and abandoned her two kits in the nursery and left Swallowtiger a mess. He died heartbroken and never stopped loving Quail, even after she left.
Growing up, Acornpaw and Puddlepaw where close companions and barely left each others' side. This was because they had no defenses against prejudice cats that where against half-clanners, and protected each other.
One day Puddlepaw and Acornpaw where out hunting a good hunt, when Acornpaw sensed something suspicious. He stopped in his tracks. A badger broke out from the ferns and faced the two older apprentices. Puddlepaw panicked, but Acornpaw strategically bounced up to a low branch and disappeared into a tree. This confused the badger into thinking he had been scared into fleeing. Poor Puddlepaw stood trembling, unable to defend herself. But before long, Acornpaw dropped heavily onto the badgers back and drove it into the lake. It drowned itself while the two apprentices hurried back to tell the leader.
This earned Acornstar and Puddledrop a ton of respect. They proved just how good of a warrior a half-clan cat can be.

ROLE PLAY SAMPLE: Acornstar sat, staring dully at the Pool of Stars. The night creatures had stopped making noise long ago, adding an eerie affect the darkness. His empty eyes looked forever into the depths of the endless Moonpool. The trees stilled their silent song, the rocks stopped humming, the soil stopped listening. Tonight things where different. Tonight, the pool would not be called the Pool of Stars or the Moonpool.
There was no moon. There was no stars. No wind, no clouds, no toads, no crickets...no nothing. Just darkness. Boundless, pulverizing, lurid darkness.
It was an omen, Acornstar was sure of it. An omen of disarray, corrupt, villainy, and loneliness. The future rested thickly on the air like a boulder, impossible to cross.
Acornstar, rose to his paws, feeling empty and heavy. How was he supposed to break the news to his clan? How was he suppose to prepare? The future of the clan rested on his shoulders, heavy as a mountain. He walked, slowly, bitterly, following the silent stream, back to his clan. The darkness stretched and prolonged before his eyes. He could not see squat.
Many times he stumbled over stray rock and branches. Many times he thought he lost his way. But StarClan, even though he could not see them, always seemed to be guiding him in a grieving sort of way, as if they felt as helpless and feeble as him.
Many hours passed, but the darkness nor walking never stopped. Acornstar's eyes felt heavy, making it all the more harder. He walked and stumbled beside that quiet, never ending stream.
Finally, finally, he began to see a sliver of orange light, aluminating the darkness. It hurt his eyes to see such light after many hours of crushing darkness.
In his position, one would think that that was the sun, finally coming up. So he did, but he was never more wrong in his life.
